Round Drum Canteen
This 6 inch Round Drum Canteen is a reproduction of th
e most common Confederate canteens used during the Civil War.
It is made of tin plated steel and is soldered with lead free food grade solder. It measures 6 inches in diameter and 2 inches in depth. It has plain flat faces and a straight spout. It holds 32 ounces, has a cork stopper and side lugs for a shoulder strap (not included).
These come to you lined with beeswax and ready to use.
Hand Wash and dry the canteen. DO NOT PUT IN THE DISHWASHER. Do not put hot liquids inside, cold drinks only!
If you decide to store your canteen for a bit, give it a light rub with food grade mineral oil on a cloth. Your canteen will last for many years of service if taken care of properly. Your canteen will naturally get a darkened patina with use.

Keep in mind tin items are tin plated steel. They will develop a patina and get a bit of rust or oxidation especially along seams. Just clean with a soft cloth and some non-scratch soft cleanser.
