Coco Bolo Fire Piston
Our Fire Pistons are hand crafted from exotic Coco Bolo wood, which is a very hard wood. With a simple push, tinder placed in the end will become an ember. This Fire Piston comes with a lanyard, convenient for hanging from your neck.
The pressure relief valve allows the trapped air to be released, yet is easily resealed. This enables full compression for fire lighting.
Once the valve is closed, the piston can use any dry natural material as tinder, such as timber fungus, Mullen or milkweed down. You can also use char cloth or char punk wood as your tinder.
